Interconnection 36th Emirates Fine Art Society Annual Exhibition

With the generous support of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the 37th annual exhibition of the Emirates Fine Arts Society is launched, calling for artistic interconnection through its title "Interconnection". This seeks to bring together artists scattered throughout the country, including both citizens and residents, in order to stand against the pandemic through art and its creative energies.

Society's annual exhibition seeks to ensure the continuity of artistic work by working hard to shine a light on artistic creativity. It also aspires to break the state of social distancing through its call to establish an artistic and creative interconnection capable of shattering the silence of isolation, breaking away from the claws of loneliness, and going into an artistic reservoir that can illuminate the soul, raise our ideas, and elevate our philosophies to keep pace with the present, while moving forward confidently and brilliantly towards the future.

In this exhibition, the artists breathe in colour, light, movement, embodiment, words, symbols, expressions, and ideas in order for life to continue on its enlightened path, which is strengthened and grown by art. Indeed, art defends our humanity against all pandemics, pain, or danger, which quickly disappear before artistic greatness and beauty.

In this exhibition, different styles and techniques are used and the artists' visions and inspirations differ. In this way, we find various artistic trends presented side by side, which in their entirety, portray an objective representation of the contemporary art movement in the United Arab Emirates, shaped by the creative hands and minds of all artistic generations.
